Now Accepting Big Green Egg Cook & Team Applications for Texarkana EggFest
January 17, 2017 – Dot’s Ace Hardware and Dot’s Rentals & Sales invite area Big Green Egg cooks and teams to register to showcase their Big Green Egg cooking skills at Texarkana EggFest on March 25, 2017.
EggFests are held all over the United States for Egg-Heads—or Big Green Egg enthusiasts—to show off their cooking skills on the Big Green Egg. Ticketholders, also called tasters, come to the event to watch the cooks, get recipe ideas and insights, and—of course—to try all of the teams’ tasty creations.
“Texarkana EggFest is a great opportunity for cooks to meet other Egg-Heads and share new techniques and great recipes,” said Bob Lyndon, Dot’s Ace Hardware Store Manager. “It’s also really fun for the tasters, because every time you turn around there’s something new to try.”
EggFest cooks typically reach beyond the normal cookout arsenal of steaks, burgers and hot dogs. Cooks will serve a variety of dishes, sides, appetizers and desserts, spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Texarkana EggFest can accommodate a limited number of cooks, so experienced, creative Big Green Egg chefs are encouraged to register to cook immediately to ensure they have a spot at the festival. Registration is open to teams from all over the country.
Each team will be provided with a large-sized Big Green Egg demo on which to cook, tents, tables, chairs, trash can, charcoal, fire starter and water, along with a $25 gift card to Walmart to help with supplies. Participants are responsible for providing all other cooking necessities, including primary ingredients, spices and utensils.
Discounted demo Eggs are available for advance purchase and may be picked up at the end of EggFest on March 25.
