TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL DECA STUDENTS HEADED TO STATE COMPETITION AFTER RECEIVING FIRST PLACE AWARDS AT CAREER DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE

Texarkana, TX – During the recent District 6 Career Development Conference, twelve Texas High School DECA students received First Place awards and will now advance to the state competition in San Antonio, TX in February.

Award recipients were:

Marisol Aguilar, Ravon Cornelius & Isaiah Germany – Entrepreneurship Promotion;

Odin Contreras & Michael Murphy – Entrepreneurship Business Plan;

Cody Hambly & Alexia Smith – Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making;

Carl Oliver & Mason Shoalmire – Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making;

Daylan O’Neal – Financial Consulting;

Eduardo Naranjo – Principals of Finance;

Secret Smith – Professional Selling.

Students are coached by Pam Hamilton, THS DECA Sponsor and Career & Technology Marketing Teacher.
