MULTIPLE AWARDS EARNED BY TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY STUDENTS DURING ATPI CONFERENCE; PROGRAM RECEIVES FIRST PLACE OVERALL IN PHOTOJOURNALISM AND SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY.

MULTIPLE AWARDS EARNED BY TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY STUDENTS DURING ATPI CONFERENCE; PROGRAM RECEIVES FIRST PLACE OVERALL IN PHOTOJOURNALISM AND SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY.

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School Commercial Photography travelled to the University of Texas at Arlington on February 24-26 to attend the Association of Texas Photography Instructors Winter Conference.  During the conference, students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on classes related to all types of photography and video and to compete in on-site contests.

As a program, THS Commercial Photography earned First Place in Photojournalism, First Place in Sports and Second Place in Architecture Photography.

Taking top individual awards were:

Lauren Maynard – Superior Rating for Self Portraits, First Place in Advanced Portfolio, First Place for Digital Image, Second Place for Picture Package and Two Honorable Mentions for Digital Image

Kaitlyn Gordon – Third Place for Picture Package

Alyssa Kift – Third Place for Beginning Portfolio

Kayleigh Moreland – Honorable Mention for Advanced Portfolio

Auryeal Parker – Honorable Mention for Self Portraits

Racheal Sizemore – Honorable Mention for Beginning Portfolio

Team Awards include:

First Place for School Portfolio – Team of Alyssa Kift, Kayleigh Moreland, Racheal Sizemore, Angela Valle).
