Red River Federal Credit Union Fundraiser for Two Employees

Red River Federal Credit Union is having a hot dog fundraiser for two of our employees.  Both are young mothers.  One is at St Jude with her 9 month old baby girl undergoing treatment for cancer in her brain.  The other is a mom who just had her preemie released from the NICU.  Both of these employees are facing long term care needs for their children and themselves.  While Medicade and most of the babies needs are covered while in the NICU and especially at St Jude’s, the families expenses are still there.  Bills must still be paid at home while they are away.  Having spent 78 days in the NICU myself, life doesn’t stop at home.  The electric bill must still be paid as well as all of the other responsibilities that come with being an adult.  I was lucky to not have another child and was able to be off work with my son in the NICU.  Our employee came back to work within a week or two just so she could take her leave when her son was released a week or so ago.

Please help us spread the word.  If you or your organization has files that need to be shredded, bring them to us on Monday.  Sustainable Services will be on hand to accept all SHRED this day.  The large shred truck will  be at Summerhill Rd location.  Bring it in boxes, bags, or bails.  Bring as much or as little as you want.  It doesn’t matter how much you bring, it’s all FREE to you.  You can watch your papers go into the shredding truck yourself on their little TV monitor.  All we need is your help in spreading the word about this event and hopefully coming and purchasing a hot dog or two.
