TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL NAMED A LEARNSTORM NATIONAL GRAND PRIZE FINALIST

Texarkana, TX – Texas High School has been named a LearnStorm National Grand Prize Finalist for their usage of Khan Academy LearnStorm programming.

Teachers Melinda Asher (Digital Media), Nicole Ayers (Algebra II STEM Pre-AP) and Jaclyn Pessel (Anatomy & Physiology) worked with the instructional service program tools to assign videos, exercises and articles to students to complete as part of their daily curriculum during the six-week challenge which ended on October 20.

The additional elements to the student’s daily curriculum helped to strengthen their skills through personalized practice in the subject areas assigned and assisted in building strong mindsets as well as developing learning strategies for the students.

Thirty schools were named National Grand Prize Finalists with three schools moving to overall Grand Prize level.  Texas High School will receive  $500 from DonorsChoose.org.
