COMMUNITY BASED ASSESSMENT FOR TISD NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE
Texarkana, TX – In the Spring of 2017, Texarkana Independent School District launched a survey for parents, employees, students and community members to complete in order to assist the District in identifying the highest priorities for students and staff.
The Community Based Assessment results have been compiled in a 13-page online document available at www.txkisd.net.
Identified areas addressed include Culture & Climate, Facility & Support Operations, Opportunities for Students, Teaching & Learning and Graduate Profile. The interactive document allows the reader to see short tidbits of details on what TISD is all about.
“This process, from survey to compilation, has been a fun one for our district,” said Paul Norton, Superintendent of Schools. “Once finished, it has given us a wonderful tool to share with the community as well as a baseline of measurements that we can grow from. We will conduct a second survey in Spring 2018 and compile that data to present to the community showing our growth in given areas.
The Community Based Assessment assists TISD in setting priorities which align with stakeholders priorities and will be used by the district leadership for future decision making and strategic planning.
