Texarkana, AR – The Texarkana Museums System cordially invites you to take part in a 1940s murder mystery called “The Auction” on March 17, 2018 at the P. J. Ahern Home, 403 Laurel, in Historic Downtown Texarkana. Enjoy dinner and gameplay beginning at 5:00 p.m. Deadline for reservations is March 15. Tickets are on sale now!
An evening of bidding and bloodshed awaits at the P. J. Ahern Home. Following the tragic death of the Baroness Audrey Von Munchen, her famous artifacts are being sold to the highest bidder. We would welcome your presence at this auction and to the reading of her will, but take care! Danger lurks among the auction guests and the highest bid could be for murder. Test your sleuthing skills against other guests as you take on the persona of an auction guest or heir to the Baroness. The game is set in the 1940s, so pull out your fedora or best cocktail hat to join the fun. Make a reservation today to receive your character’s biography and special notes on how to play the game along with notes on 1940s costumes. The mystery begins at 5 p.m. at the historic P. J. Ahern Home, 403 Laurel Street in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas. The P. J. Ahern Home is an historic 1905 Classical Revival mansion that hosts programs, lectures, and special events every month.
